My new love. Confession time. I'm not weird.

Before you read this, you must know:

this is not creepy.
I'm not weird because of this.
It's normal.
You can't judge me.
It's not my fault.
Sometimes things just happen.

Okay, with that said, I'll confess to you my new love.

Business men.

Whew, glad to get that one off my chest.

Now, you may be thinking, "why did she preface it that way?".

Well, that's because I didn't tell you what I've done about this love...
I'm going to give you some background.

You see, there are apx zero boys in my major. Okay, that's not true. There are a few. They're cool. But not my type.

And I'm kind of in love with a good cowboy. But the problem is I'm too afraid to talk to them. So that obviously is not going to work.

Which leads me to the perfect solution. Business guys.

I came upon this at the beginning of the semester. I'd walk past the business building about once a week and there are always guys dressed up for their classes.

So, I kind of, sort of, maybe........

I'll get to what I did at the end. First, here are a few reasons why they strike my fancy.

  • They have ambition. There are very few things about a guy that are more attractive than ambition. A guy who is going places and knows what he wants to do. Men who have high goals and are on track to accomplish them.
  • They're confident! A guy who knows what they are talking about and are not afraid to be themselves in all situations. No fluff. Not only talk the talk, but also walk the walk.
  • They're leaders. They take action and are self starters. And not just leaders, but I feel like the business guys are the natural leaders. And you guys, my future husband is going to be a leader.
  • They wear suits. I'm pretty sure if guys knew how attractive they were when they got gussied up, they wear a suit every day. {is this just me?} Guys don't act as immature when they're dressed up either. Which let's be honest, this is a definite plus. Also, I have a new found like of bow ties and skinny ties. This is all.

So there's the reason why I may or may not have done the following a handful, or so, of times.

Sometimes I take a detour on campus to walk past the business building.

but wait. there's more. {I just sounded like an infomercial}

Sometimes I go inside the business building.... and just walk around.

But most of the time I also visit the little girl's room so it's not like I don't have more than one purpose. Clearly, the bathroom was why I went in there in the first place.... {they do have a full length mirror in it though!}

And 2 of those handful or so of times were to meet with a business advisor person about stuffs. So, it's not creepy that I'm there.

and once, I even got a free pulled pork sandwich out of it! Once I went into the business building, ya know, to use the bathroom, and they were giving out deliciousness! It rocked! I vowed on that day, that whatever my reason for going to that particular building was, it was okay, because I got free food.

Lunch AND dessert {eye candy}.

So, I repeat:

this is not creepy.
I'm not weird because of this.
It's normal.
You can't judge me.
It's not my fault.
Sometimes things just happen.

K. Darkroom/photo lab break over.

hopefully i'm not in here more than an hour longer.

  1. I agree with everything you just said. Especially the suits, you know it's going to be a good day on campus when all the business majors have to dress up. Nothing better than scholarly gentleman looking sharp and classy on an ordinary non-spectacular day. :)
